How does the PDF Redaction tool ensure permanent sanitization?
Standard PDF editors only place a black box on top of the text, leaving the underlying text streams searchable and scrapable. To ensure 100% irreversible redaction, our tool renders the PDF pages to high-resolution canvases, draws the blackout shapes directly into the pixel buffer, and exports them back as a flattened image-only PDF.
Can the redacted text be recovered after download?
No. Once the layers are flattened and exported as an image-only document, the original text streams are completely removed and replaced by black pixels. The redacted areas are permanently unrecoverable.
Does redacting files require an internet connection?
No. The canvas rendering, pixel manipulation, and PDF generation are processed completely offline inside your browser RAM, securing your private documents.
